What's it all about?

This Exhibition has been brought to you by S.T.E.A.M (click here for further information). We have previously presented Exhibitions at Slough Museum on Slough factories. But industry was really just a Twentieth Century feature. Relatively few people worked in industry in Slough before WW I and by 2003 the number employed in industry had fallen below eight thousand or just 15 % of the total.
