The Connections Exhibition is part of a project documenting Britain’s ‘hidden history’ of Asian, Black and Jewish peoples’ experiences of settling into this country. There have been other projects looking at the history of immigrants to Britain but this is the first to focus on the relationships between them, their shared experiences and the connections they have made. This project aims to challenge some of the prejudices we hold about each other and demonstrate the importance of working together. The exhibition is complimented by a research website www.connections-exhibition.org and schools programme (please contact Kristy Stone 01753 526422)

The Connections Exhibition is part of a project conceived by the Jewish Council for Racial Equality and the Parkes Institute for the Study of Jewish/non-Jewish Relations at Southampton University. The exhibition and CD ROM were designed by Lewis Sykes Associates. The project has been generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Hanadiv Charitable Foundation and the Stone Ashdown Trust. Further information is available from the project manager on 07981 169932 or at info@connections-exhibition.org
