Cippenham Farm
Cippenham Farm lay immediately to the west of Cippenham Court Farm
along Cippenham Lane. A long hedge marked the boundary between the two.
At one time Cippenham Farm extended from Dorney Common to Cippenham
Lane and Huntercombe Lane. The Gregory family farmed it from 1874. It
was mostly an arable, market gardening operation. The farmhouse
"Cippenham House" was pulled down in 1967. The old peoples' home in
Barnfield now stands where the farm buildings were. But a small part,
joined to a small part of Cippenham Court Farm, was still farmed until
1995.
Hunts Wood Farm
This is in Grove Road, Burnham and has been farmed by Robert Gregory
and his son Graham since 1960 as the end of Cippenham Farm and
Cippenham Court Farm approached. A mixed farm, beef and arable - it was
once part of the much larger Grove Farm.
