Effective
Advertising
James Elliman advertised his medicine as 'An Excellent Good Thing' and he wasn't wrong judging by how popular it was with Victorian people.
We see advertising in many
different forms all around us today but in Victorian times there was no
television and radio to advertise your products. Word of mouth, posters
and packaging were what Elliman had to rely on. In fact, Ellimans could claim to be the
first company to ever use a continuous strip cartoon for advertising
its products.
